You might be wondering how a 70year old glass artist from California and 33yr old model from NY would find each-other in Byron Bay and decide to create a brand together.

It all started on the dancefloor.

For the last 5 years, Colin became known around Byron Bay as one of the best dance experiences ever. Unbeknownst to Glovindria of course, who had just arrived unsuspectingly from Hawaii. But this was where they met, and to Glovindria’s absolute shock, they destroyed the dancefloor and decided they must be the most hilarious duo anyone would have ever imagined.

Cue in professional collaboration.

Which came months later…

At the time, Colin already had a legacy as one of Australia’s most renowned glass artists and became equally reputed for his silk prints, which he originally launched through his eponymous brand Colin Heaney Art

After 10years as an international model, Glovindria also begun designing kaftans while in India using saris she found at the market As they became friends, they realized that not only did they share a vision of making women feel magical but their tastes for style, print design, beauty, composition, and quality fused together effortlessly just like they did on the dance floor.

Hence Miramaya was born.
